Leila Jade Levi

Principal Managing Attorney

Leila has more than 16 years of experience helping individuals and organizations navigate employment law, workplace challenges, health law, and reproductive rights. She brings a practical, thoughtful approach to her work, focused on understanding each client’s goals and finding solutions that make sense both legally and in the real world.

Throughout her career, Leila has advised professionals on employment agreements, discrimination and accommodation issues, workplace disputes, separations, and other employment matters. She has also counseled organizational leaders and human resources professionals on compliance, investigations, workplace policies, and risk management. With extensive experience working in and advising nonprofit organizations, Leila understands the unique employment, governance, budget, and mission-driven considerations nonprofits face and provides practical guidance tailored to their needs.

Leila also brings deep experience at the intersection of employment, health care, and reproductive rights. Her work has included advising physicians and other health care professionals on complex employment and professional issues, as well as legal and policy work involving abortion access, reproductive health care, and the laws affecting health care providers. This experience gives her a unique understanding of the professional, regulatory, and personal considerations that can shape workplace decisions, particularly in health care settings.

An experienced speaker and educator, Leila has delivered dozens of presentations and trainings at conferences nationwide on employment law, health law, reproductive rights, and compliance issues.

Leila’s approach to her practice is also informed by her life outside of the law, including her experience as a parent and disability advocate. She understands firsthand that professional decisions often intersect with caregiving responsibilities, health care, disability, and family life. She strives to give clients clear, practical advice that recognizes the whole person behind a workplace issue.

Beyond the Office

Leila lives in Bethesda with her husband and three children. She is the parent of a nonverbal child with a rare disease, significant medical complexities, and multiple disabilities. Her family’s experiences navigating health care, disability services, education, and advocacy have given her a deeply personal understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and the families who support them.

That experience has also shaped Leila’s commitment to disability inclusion and advocacy, particularly for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those who cannot always advocate for themselves. It informs the empathy, perspective, and practicality she brings to her professional and community work.

When she isn’t practicing law, you’re likely to find her cooking, planning her next gathering, riding her Peloton, or at the pool with her kids. She also teaches group fitness classes, loves snorkeling, and speaks Spanish fluently.
